Velocity’s founder, Sol Trujillo, on Bloomberg TV’s The Close

This afternoon, Velocity’s Founder, Sol Trujillo, joined Bloomberg TV’s The Close live from New York spotlighting how the U.S. Latino cohort is powering America’s future.

The data is undeniable: Latinos are driving double-digit growth in manufacturing, launching businesses at twice the national rate, and sustaining 48 of 50 states. This is the engine of U.S. growth.

“What sets us apart from other nations is that we have a growth cohort in our corpus, and it’s young. What’s the DNA of the United States? Entrepreneurship. Investment. And this is the ideal cohort.”

“Less than 1% of invested capital is going into this cohort that’s accounting for $1T of GDP, that’s accounting for 80% of all the net new workers and about 80% of all net new businesses. So, as a capitalist, I think, let’s go get the data and share the data because as an American, I want to see us grow.

Sol’s call to action is clear: invest. A young, dynamic, entrepreneurial cohort is building the next wave of companies, industries, and jobs — and that’s good for all of America.
