Sol Trujillo
Solomon D. (“Sol”) Trujillo is a global business executive who has been recognized as a game changer and innovator for his transformation of three large market-cap global companies in three different corridors of the world (the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific). His leadership was recognized by Bloomberg naming Sol one of the 100 most influential Latinos, as well as more recently named by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in philanthropy.
Known for his transformation, leadership, innovation, and performance, across different world cultures, and for driving unprecedented growth, he has led various sectors, including communications, media, and technology. He was a leader in the digitization of our lives, launching the first fixed-line broadband deployments, introducing the first version of the smart phone, and launching the world’s first nationwide national ultra-highspeed wireless broadband networks. His digital leadership resulted in Sol being named the First Digital Telco CEO by the U.S. Presidential Science Adviser.
With a focus on our nation’s economic growth in the 21st Century, Sol was the first to identify the U.S. Latino cohort through facts and data as the core engine of economic growth, which led to co-founding and chairing the Latino Donor Collaborative, where he was responsible for creating the first data centered think tank regarding the U.S. Latino cohort, focused on an accurate branding of the cohort’s economic importance.
Sol founded VELOCITY, the national business event focused on the 21st Century New Mainstream Economy, and highlighting the U.S. Latino cohort as the unique growth driver in our nation’s capitalist system.
Sol is recognized as the leading champion of U.S. Latinos in 21st Century America’s New Mainstream Economy and is a respected opinion leader on technology, business, and the global economy. He is frequently featured in leading publications such as TIME, Forbes, Barron’s, Wall Street Journal, and programs such as MSNBC and CNBC, presenting facts and data and insights regarding the U.S. Latino cohort and its economic growth leadership across our nation’s economy.
Trujillo is the founder of L’ATTITUDE VENTURES FUND, a purpose-led venture fund that invests in early stage US Latino and Latina-founders. He also chairs the Trujillo Group, LLC, investing in domestic and international private companies.
He has served on numerous global boards including Western Union, PepsiCo, Bank of America, EDS, Orange S.A., Telstra Group Limited, Gannett, US West, Target, Soufun (China), and WPP, formerly the world’s largest communications, advertising, public relations, technology, and commerce holding company.
Additional distinguished roles include Chairman and Founding Partner of New Cadence Productions, a U.S. television and film content creation studio, and Senior Advisor for Bain & Company Management Consulting. He is also a Member of the board of advisors at Stanford School of Medicine Center on Longevity.
Sol Trujillo served as a trade policy advisor to both the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations. Trujillo was awarded the Ronald H. Brown Corporate Bridge Builder Award by President Clinton for creating opportunities for women and minorities. Among his many other global awards are:

Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with family roots in the U.S. that date back to the early 1500’s, Mr. Trujillo holds a Bachelor of Science in business and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Wyoming with honorary doctorates from the University of Wyoming, the University of Colorado, Whittier College, and Miami Dade College. He currently resides in California.
