Cristo Fernández

Cristo Fernández is a Mexican actor and filmmaker born in Guadalajara, Mexico. He began his professional life as a soccer player but discovered new passions in the Entertainment world. After finishing his acting masters program in the UK, he set his goals to creating independent projects as an actor, director, writer and producer, so he would create a reel and body of work to show. The plan paid off when he won the role of “Dani Rojas” the beloved AFC Richmond star football player, on the multi-Emmy winning comedy series “TED LASSO”, for Apple TV+ & Warner Bros.

Fernández was recently awarded the “Rising Star Award” for Television from the Critics Choice Association during the 2nd Annual Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television. The award was presented by Oscar winning director Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Audiences were thrilled to see him make his debut in the Marvel Universe with his end scene appearance in “SPIDER MAN: No Way Home.” Now with his role as “Wheeljack” in “TRANSFORMERS: Rise Of The Beasts”, he’s becoming a “go-to” for Hollywood action films. He has appeared in other shows like Acapulco with Eugenio Derbez on Apple TV+ and Zorro on Prime.

In 2017, he founded Espectro MX Films, producing successful projects such as Una Pequeña Confusión (over 1M tickets sold in 2025 in theaters in Mexico), Corina (Best Feature at FICG 2024 + Audience Award 2025 at SXSW), and Las Tres Sisters (2025) released in over 180 Theaters in the US.
