Live from LA CONVO Podcast Featuring Velocity’s Co-Founder and CMO, Andrea Trujillo
Velocity’s Co-Founder and CMO, Andrea Trujillo, joined Univision Los Angeles’ LA CONVO for a powerful conversation on what it takes to connect with today’s New Mainstream audiences.
Brands are thriving when they show up in culturally relevant ways. In the podcast, Andrea breaks down what authenticity and transparency really mean in today’s marketing landscape, and how tapping into the right cultural moments can reshape the way audiences connect with a brand.
“Authenticity, for me, is at the core of everything we should be doing — especially in marketing. People are savvy; we’re exposed to so much, so quickly, that audiences can instantly tell when something is real and when it’s not. Strategy should always be not to just check a box, but to make sure that connection is actually there.”
As The New Mainstream influences more sectors than ever, Andrea explains that brands must merge business strategy with creativity to meaningfully reach — and more importantly, truly resonate with — their audiences.
“This is where I get excited — bridging the business with the creative. It’s about leading with cultural relevancy. You see it in sports, music, fashion, and so many other spaces. When you look at the growth and the tangible impact across industries, that’s how people connect. That’s how they relate.”
She also shares her personal journey — from her college soccer years and lifelong passion for women’s sports, to launching her first boutique startup, to now shaping the vision for Velocity and what’s ahead.
