Nilson Goes
Nilson Goes serves as CEO of IEC Engineering & Construction (IEC), a role in which he strategically directs the company’s mission and market expansion across the Federal, Utility, and Commercial sectors. Under his leadership, IEC has built a strong presence in the construction management and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) services industries on a national scale. Headquartered in Kansas City, IEC maintains additional offices in Southern California, Central Missouri, Nebraska, and South Carolina.
Born and partially raised in Brazil, Nilson brings a global perspective to his leadership at IEC, enriched by his fluency in Portuguese and Spanish. This multicultural background has enhanced his ability to navigate the diverse landscape of industries and clients IEC serves. His expertise in both language and culture has been pivotal in strengthening IEC’s client relationships and fostering growth in various markets while maintaining a commitment to representing and the Hispanic business community.
Nilson’s holds a bachelor’s degree from the Neely School of Business at Texas Christian University, where he developed a strong foundation in business management. Furthering his education, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, where he honed his skills in leadership, strategy, and finance. He has also completed executive education programs for minority business owners at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
In addition to his leadership at IEC, Nilson is deeply committed to his community in Kansas City. He has served on the boards of several prominent organizations, including the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Wonderscope Children’s Museum, and the Martin City Improvement District, among others. Nilson is a member of YPO – Young President’s Organization, an international professional and personal development organization and serves on the board of directors for the Kansas City Chapter. Through these roles, Nilson has contributed to the growth and development of local businesses, cultural institutions, and community infrastructure, showcasing his dedication to both professional and civic engagement.
