Rick Telles

Rick Telles is a seasoned producer recognized for creating innovative and culturally impactful content. With decades of experience across reality television, documentaries, and feature films, Telles has consistently delivered compelling stories to audiences worldwide.

He is best known for co-creating and producing the groundbreaking VH1 hit The Surreal Life, a cultural phenomenon that redefined celebrity reality television. Telles also spent many years producing and directing hit MTV series, including Road Rules and Fear, which helped shape the early landscape of unscripted adventure television. His executive experience includes serving as a network executive at Syfy, where he successfully launched the acclaimed competition series Face Off, which became one of the network’s longest-running hits.

Telles has collaborated with major networks and streaming platforms, earning accolades for his contributions to the industry. Most recently, he executive produced the inspiring feature film A Million Miles Away, starring Michael Peña, further underscoring his versatility and commitment to amplifying diverse narratives.

Currently, he is developing two passion projects: Struck by Genius, the true story of a man who became a mathematical savant after a brain injury, and White But Not Equal, based on the landmark Supreme Court case led by Latino attorneys.
