José Villa is the founder and President/Chief Strategy Officer of Sensis, an integrated cross-cultural marketing agency. He founded Sensis in 1998 as one of the first digital agencies focused on the multicultural market. Under José’s leadership, Sensis has grown into an award-winning full-service agency and the largest 100% minority-owned advertising agency in the country.
José focuses his work on helping organizations win in the New Mainstream Economy where demographic change, culture, and technology converge to drive growth. He has pioneered a cross-cultural approach to marketing and co-authored multiple studies including the Hispanic Millennial Project, We Are Gen Z, the Boomer Cultures Report, and the New Hispanic Immigrant Report. His work blends research-driven strategy, digital transformation, and brand growth across financial services, healthcare, government, and education sectors.
José leads Sensis’ operations and directly oversees Research and Strategic Planning at Sensis. His insights appear in Axios, PRWeek, AdAge, Digiday, and MediaPost, and he is a regular industry speaker; his client experience includes the U.S. Army, University of Texas, Voya Financial, AltaMed, Match Group, and the CDC. José holds an Economics degree from Harvard University and an MBA in Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
